Ear wax removal in Leighton Buzzard
What is ear wax?
Ear wax is a sticky substance produced naturally to help clean, lubricate and protect your ears. The wax will normally work its way out of the ear and eventually new fresh wax will take its place.
In some cases the ear wax can build up in the ear canal bringing on the following symptoms :-
- Earache
- Hearing loss
- A feeling of fullness
- Ringing in the ears
- Irritation
- Hearing aids become blocked or start to whistle
A build up of ear wax can be extremely frustrating and upsetting but its important not to use cotton buds or other methods of self cleaning.
If you do have any of the above symptoms or are concerned the best thing to do is seek medical advice. Your two main options are to get in touch with your local GP surgery or a hearing health centre like ours.

Ear wax removal – Micro-suction
Increasingly microsuction has become a preferred method of ear wax removal amongst medical professionals and patients alike. Microsuction is a system which uses suction to clear out any debris or wax from the ear canal. A fine suction tube is gently inserted into the ear canal while being observed via magnification.
Our micro-suction treatment is charged at £65 for one or both ears
Our micro-suction procedure is approved by the Audiology and life sciences department at Aston university, The Royal College of nurses and by BSHAA.
Important note: For best results please treat the affected ear(s) with 1-2 drops of olive oil for a period of 3 nights prior treatment
